Nigel Slater and two winter recipes. Or... almonds and morello cherry cheesecake for Christmas

Nigel Slater and two winter recipes.

Morello cherry cheesecake. You need almonds or shortbread biscuits, butter, bottled or canned morello cherries, full fat cream cheese, golden caster sugar, eggs and egg yolk, lemon zest, vanilla extract, soured cream, caster sugar and dark chocolate. And below which tools you need in your kitchen and, then, the link for the recipe.

Good good luck with your cherry sauce and chocolate decoration. And your kitchen should have a food processor, an oven, a food mixer, a flat beater, a rubber spatula, a roasting tin, a saucepan, a fridge and a vegetable peeler.

I have learnt the meaning of the words kitchen parchment (a type of paper for the kitchen made from the skin of sheep and goats), sieve (it's a wire or plastic net attached to a ring), biscuit crumbs (small pieces of biscuits), scraping down (moving a sharp or hard implement across a surface), folding in (mixing one ingredient gently with another, usually with a spoon), wobbly (moving in an unsteady way from side to side) and scattering over (covering a surface with something thrown over it in small quantities and the result is unplanned).
